Week Old Chicks - Help Roosting

Mine are 6 weeks old and I've had a couple 2 x 6's in their brooder for a couple weeks now - they like to hop up on it and sit during the day, but at night they still all huddle together down in the wood chips LOL
But, I'm glad they're at least trying them out during the day

Mine are roosting at 5 weeks. I encourage you all to check out Blooie's mother heating pad thread. I used a heating pad this year, for 19 and then 22 chicks, and will never go back to a lamp again!!!
 
My golden sex links did not roost till they were 6 weeks old. They huddled under the ecoglow till 6 weeks and now they never use the ecoglow so I removed it from the coop. They roost all the time now.One of the girls hurt her leg trying to jump to the roost, it looks like she pulled on the feathers a bit jumping. I have to figure a way to make the roost easier to get to.
