this is what i got so far trying to figure out what kind of roof this is just the run part im looking at adding a 4foot by 4foot coop to the side just need to know how tall should the in side be and vent it due to where i live we hit 110 to 115 in the summer and in negatives in the winter
Sounds like you really need to build a hot weather coop - you should post on your state thread to find out what type of building you need to get chickens through the horrible heat.
Check out the threads here for hot weather chickens. I used to live in Las Vegas, NV, and the folks on those threads were VERY helpful with how to keep birds comfy during the summer there... Ice in their waterer, frozen watermelon, wet sand. The main factor, though, is shade. If you can, keep the coop and pen shady or make sure they have access to shade and cool water.
