Question and i need help!

My baby chicks are not moving or anything they look dead and when i grab them they don't even move.Can someone help me with this please. I dont think that they are sleeping i think that they are dying.

Are they warm enough? Chicks need a supplementary heat source.

How old are they? What is the temp in your brooder? Have they been eating and drinking?

How are you keeping them? What else can you tell us about them?

I forgot what type they are so i hope this helps. The one on the left sitting down she started to act like that the next day i bought her and the left one was fine yesturday. Until this morning i found them both laying their looking like they were dead and not moving. They didn't really eat or drink much, and today they are not doing anything just laying thier. One was fine last night until this morning. and i have a lamp that keeps them warm, but i guess that didn't help much.

You need to keep them in a brooder. Sometime like a cardboard box or plastic tote. They need to be kept at 95 degrees starting that first week and the temp lowered by 5 degrees each week after for 5 weeks. Chicks have no ability to heat or cool themselves, so you must do this for them.

Right now your chicks need strength. Their G.I. tract is challenged and can't uptake any helps you give them at this point. Even electrolytes need to be digested Run to your local tTactor Supply or tack store and grab a bottle of the Pet Nutri-Drop, Poultry Nutri-Drench or Goat Nutri-Drench and follow the instructions for poultry given in the posts below. Tho these formulas are species-specific, they also meet the scientific standards for a universal dosage. Make sure you use the poultry dosage listed below regardless of the formula you choose. These products do not need to be digested. they mainline directly into the bloodstream. Hurry, there, not much time. One drop only by mouth per chick, repeat as needed every 8 to 10 hours. put 2ml per gallon in their water. Get a 3ml syringe at the store, safely dispose of the needle, and use it to measure the formula.

For baby chicks: 1 drop only by mouth per chick, then repeat as needed every 8 to 10 hours
Then 2ml per gallon in their water for maintaance, 4 ml per gallon in their water for stress situations.
I raise my chicks with the 2ml solution in their water for the 1st 4 weeks to get them off to a strong start.
My formula water looks like the color of very weak tea.
