Turkey feed Question

They get dried meal worms and flax plus maybe 2% of a chicken mix of grains, lentil and seeds.

While flax has a decent amount of protein (approximately 20%) it also has a very high fat content (around 40%). Because of the high fat content, I would not feed flax to my turkeys.

Meal worms should be considered a treat only and along with other "treats" should be limited to 10% or less of their diet. Meal worms are excellent for protein (about 50%) but are still too high in fat at about 27%.

My turkeys are 9 weeks old. I started them on turkey starter and then grower turkey feed. Can anyone tell me when I should start feeding them finishing feed? I feed all non-medicated feeds from a local mill that grinds their own feed and I have been very happy with all their feeds -----pig---chicken and turkey feeds. My turkeys sure have grown well but I do not want them getting too large and have feet or leg problems. Just not sure when I should start them on finishing feed?
