I know this sounds strange but have you considered trying a shop vac? It would probably pick up the pieces most likely to damage your chickens. Just a thought.

That is actually a really good idea.

If I rake it first, then hit it with the blower to clear the lighter material, then the shop vac... I think that is about all I can do. After that I'll just have to hope the remaining glass causes no harm.
