I just want to fast forward a little so I can get my first egg! My girls are only 15 weeks old but I am really excited for that first egg! I know I probly have to wait another month or two.

I have
3 Dominiques
3silver laced wyandottes
3 buff orpingtons
3 East eggers
3 Welsummers

I think my Dominiques will be first to lay. Whats your guess?

I am pretty sure my Easter eggers will be the last to lay because they are the ones I am most excited about. And thats just my luck.

glad to know I am not the only one who dreams about their chickens lol but sound like I have much longer to wait then most of you, I have RIR so I am told that wont see eggs till probably late aug.

Our 2 hens are about 4 months old and one has been laying but the other hasn't, we got them as one day old chickens and they're unrepeatable. Now the one that lays is brooding but not in their brooding place in the coop and I have to lirealyy pick her up of a night and carry her to the brooder to keep them warm and safe or she will stay in this one place day and night, the other hen is missing her being with her and she hasn't layed an egg at all yet.
I don't know what to do because now neither are laying, we have put a fake egg in the brooder hoping the one that stays in the spot all day will get used to sitting in the brooder where it's warm, so now we have both hens not laying and don't know what to do about the one sitting on nothing all day.
Any advice please?

got my first egg yesterday, second today., 13 and 14 days after receiving my 19 wk RIR/ golden cross., sorry no pics, but you can trust me, they are lil beauties.:)

Still waiting for my ISA browns to lay eggs. I think they are now 24 wks. Trying to break them of sleeping in the nesting boxes. Their combs and wattles are a pink. One is turning a little red. Hopefully soon.
