I have 3 broodies right now, 1 who should hatch Thursday or Friday, 1 who should hatch Saturday or Sunday and 1 who is about 10 days out, not sure on her date. I also have 1 other who wants too but I keep taking her off the nest. My problem is they play musical nests. 2 are easy to tell who goes on which nest because of their coloring but the other 2 are hard because they are Austrolorps while the others are white with black markings. I feel sorry for the first one because she seems like she's the meekest of the bunch. Has anyone ever had this happen before and how do you handle it? I've been trying to put them back on the correct nests. Will the correct momma take over or will they just give up?
