I am gonna try this byc thing again. First time, about 10 years ago my mama gave me 9 biddies and a mama, but I forgot to put them up one night when I went to work and something got 'em. It was a chicken massacre in my backyard! Well, my BFF has inspired me to try again. I have 5 Rhode Island Reds on order, should get them in about 2 weeks. Brooder is ready, have to totally redo outside coop. But I'm excited! My grandparents were farmers so I have a basic knowledge of what to do, plus the internet helps. Nice to meet ya'll!
