The coop is being flooded by rising water. Mom got down w 7 babies... But I didn't know if it's because she knew the water was rising... I brought her and babies in an got the other eggs... One egg is chirping but she won't sit on them... What should I do?!? Never done this before

Bring her and the chicks inside. Then you could try placing the eggs on warm water bottles or a heating pad set to low. Then when it gets dark, slip try slipping them back under the hen and see if she accepts them.

The shell should maybe be the same temp that your child might have they have a low fever. Do you have one of those ear thermometers?

Do you have an ear thermometer? If so, temp below the air cell should be about 100 degrees.

That the monitor will only read "hi".... Does he need to stay at constant heat of 99?

No less than 98.5 would be my best guess. Can you go buy a thermometer that will give you a proper readout? what does the thermometer read when you place it on your forehead or in your ear?
