I don't know anything about composting but the deep litter system sounds interesting. What's the proper way to do it? Can I just add a layer of grass clippings every week?

Hmmm... So I'm researching here and im not sure what a good litter system would be for me. Moisture is not a problem here; we have very dry air and droppings dry out immediately. I just need a way to keep the eggs clean as much as possible. Maybe I should just rake out the grass and replace it every time we mow?
