Have silkies 5 weeks or so that i think may have cocci but not sure now.
This is day 3 of Corid treatment i see no improvement and 1 died...2 others very weak so while ago I added antibiotics because no bloody stool now brown and white but still very ill not eating or drinking
These will die also seens like so whats the harm?..

Will the antibiotics interfer with the Corid?

i have been giving then meds by syringe and started giving them egg yolk dash sugar with a little starter in antibiotic water and corid syringes about every hour or 2 now.

They are inside Never been out but are in brooder other older chicks were in who had been outside daytime until a few days ago.
These now outdoor chicks are not ill at all so now wonder is it cocci ?.
These silkies started hunching low wings and bloody stool.havent had an other symptoms at all.Just not eating or drinking and hunching up They are about 5 weeks old.
I immediately started Corid 1 1/2 teaspoons to gal.(liquid)

The Corid liquid dose is 2 teaspoons per gallon. Also okay to give orally at 0.02 ml per 100 grams of body weight. If you can't do the math, let me know and I'll figure out a dose for you.

adding my question here as it also deals with using Corid.. We have had an influx of Starlings this year (small migratory bird) we have battled keeping them out of the coop and feed but I think we were too late, Two of our turkey poults died unexpectedly over the weekend (also unseasonably hot and humid).. When the third poult took sick I noticed that tell tale yellow in some of the poo under their roost, Started Corid post haste and remaining 9 active and doing fine... I have baby chicks in a grow out pen who now are showing signs (probably me walking from one pen to another) and started them on corid this morning, lost one.. Several more with bloody poo, will know tomorrow if I caught them in time, have been dipping beaks every few hours making them drink... ...

I got the above under control but here is my question, I have decided since my flock is intermingled and I move from one pen or coop to another that it would be wise to treat the whole flock, I have 30+ adult chickens, 3 hens with chicks under 1 month old and one hen that just brought 7 chicks off the nest this morning. I have walked the half acre they free range and removed all water sources, auto waterers etc and filled 3/1 gallon waterers with fresh water and 2tsp powdered corrid ( My feed store does not carry liquid) my plan is to treat for 5 days, give them two weeks off and then re-treat for 3 days with a follow up on giving them a vitamin supplement and also plain yogurt and garlic to promote good digestive health. Is my plan ok?

I have read a bunch and have learned the adult chickens may be immune but do not want to take any chances, I sell eggs and have also read that corid is not harmful to humans who consume the eggs but will follow up with all my customers and let them decide.
