Are there any issues with raising keets and chicks together in the same brood box?...they will be in separate pens later but curious if they would get along as babies...thanks!

I raised a batch of keets about a year ago with Barred Rock chicks to see if they would be more tame as adults (yes and no!). There were no problems until both were fully feathered, then the keets started bullying the chicks and one day killed one, so I obviously had to separate them.

X2 - Pretty much same experience here. All was well until guineas matured and became total butt heads. Ended up rehoming them to my friends parents where they are still friendly enough to come up and eat out of their hands but kept in their place by their flock of guineas and aren't bullying anymore.

Thankfully, I have the room, so I gave the hoop house to the guineas and the chickens were moved to the hen coop and pasture. My roo keeps the guineas away from the hens, and with so much acreage, they have more interesting places to roam anyway, so no problems. My little Dutch bantam roo keeps them in line when they come to the barnyard to eat, so here it worked out okay in the end. All is harmony...for now!

gosh im worried hearing the guineas can act like that.? we were gonna raise them together with our Aussies chicks, 8 keets & 17 Aussies both are the same age 2 weeks old, this past Friday so maybe its best to keep them apart..? but let them see each other & let them meet at some point as adults out free ranging on our land...??? yes...? or no, not a good idea...? we never had guineas before, so thanks to any one...??? for more info about raising guineas with chickens,
