How bad is the crack? I'd put some Apple Cider vinegar into a bucket of water it will help to heal and use the Veterycin when putting up to bed for the night so he doesn't wash it off right away. Poor tyke they can get themselves into alot of trouble. so have an ACV bucket of water and a niacin bucket of water. ACV is 1-2 Tab per gallon of water. I used ACV when my gander poked a nice hole in his bill healed up pretty quick.

Hi Miss Lydia, I looked around and there's nothing that I can see that would cause a crack in the bean, except for the 1" hardware cloth on the Guinea Coop. I saw this little guy, trying to eat the hardware cloth. It could very well be that he or she, got their beak stuck in the 1". It doesn't seem to be bothering him. I put the Vetericyn on at bed time and the Niacin in their water during the day. There's also a bucket with ACV. So where every he decides to drink from, he'll benefit from all the water buckets.
