lone silkie survivor

I have a lone survivor silkie chick. The others failed to thrive and despite my best efforts passed away. I don't think I'll be able to find more silkie chicks, they were the last ones and they aren't popular where I am. Should I buy a different type of chick to keep her company? I am worried...
