Homeschooling family of 5, new to backyard chickens. We had entertained the thought for a while, but things moved more quickly with the COVID-19 lockdown. What better time to go through the indoor brooder period than now? 6 chicks total; 2 barred rock, 2 easter egger & 2 cinnamon queens.

I’m having trouble finding breeders/hatcheries near me. I’m located in West Michigan. Looking for Cochin Bantam and Maran chicks. I’ve googled like crazy and checked Craigslist. There is a breeder across the state but I’d prefer to drive and pick up myself. TIA!
