im glad you saved her, looks like a pullet to me!This was the all black feathered hen, when it was attacked by the other older birds. This was it looked like the week before it was attacked. Soo happy I saved it, now that you tell me its a pullets
Yep, most definitely a cockerel (the black and rust colored one in the first and third photos). So today one of the pullets started to crow. I suspect it’s the one I saved from being attacked, he is very anxious and runs away from the flock and me. They are 20 weeks old now
Pullet!This one as a chick I thought would be a rooster ... I'm still unsure ?

Thank you yes Tufty the white feathered surrogate mum us very pretty. I am attached to the rooster as I nursed him to health when he was 12 weeks old. I always called it him even when people said I had 3 pullets... I think he was slow to develop due to his attack. He is still very anxious and flighty staying away from the rest of the flock. I would love to keep him, but don't have an understanding neighbour . Will see if he's a quiet type. This one looks like a pullet.
Are you able to keep the rooster? That was so wonderful you helped save and heal him when he was younger.
Your broody is so magnificent with her white feathers, light markings, and tuft!
