6 weeks today! Breed & gender?

Any ideas about the breed and gender? Here's what I think/know so far

1. polish, rooster?
2. silkie, ?
3. silkie, ?
4. ? rooster?
5. ? ?
6. silkie cross? ?
7. silkie cross? ?
8. silkie cross? ?

Reasonably sure the first 3 are purebred, and the rest may all possibly have some silkie in them (particularly the last 3). 1 and 4 have been giving off rooster vibes

1, 4, and 5 are most likely female. Silkies and silkie crossed take a long time to mature so it is really hard to tell for the others.

#1. Looks like a golden Laced Polish.

6, 7, & 8 look like your only boys among the silkies, & silkie crosses.

Gold Laced Polish, Non Bearded Buff SIlkie, Non Bearded White Silkie, Silkie mixes.
6 is probably a cockerel and the rest look female, but don't hold me to that. Crested breeds have never been my strong point.

I'm actually shocked that the consensus seems to be female for 1 and 4. I was SO SURE the polish was a rooster based on behaviour but I guess I shouldn't judge haha

I also just found the message from the breeder of the mixed ones - from a mix of gold/silver/pencil laced wyandottes, isa browns, leghorns, sussex speckled, silkie, ancona, mixed bantams.
Any ideas what 4 and 5 might be?


I'll post some updated shots in a few weeks and see where we're at.
