Hello! New chicken mama here and I have a mystery on my hands. I ordered all of my chicks from a local feed shop who orders from a hatchery. I got them as 1-2 day old chicks.
I have an 8wk old Lavender Orpington that I am beginning to wonder if she (or he) is mixed with something else. She got pretty big and quick compared to my buff. The waddles and comb started to pink and the tail grew a bit faster. But now I’m wondering if she’s a he or maybe not even a lavender Orpington at all. The comb is still a bit flat with ridges - possibly a pea or rose comb?
I’m hoping someone here may be able to help me identify her or him. Grateful for any feedback!!

It's a rose comb. The bird is possibly a lavender Wyandotte. Mt. Healthy hatchery just started offering them, and I believe they supp;y to some feed stores. Wyandottes should have yellow legs, but hatchery stock can be variable. I am really not sure what else it would be.
Thank you so much!
I was also looking to a lavender wyandotte but the legs threw me off. I was able to confirm that they did have lavender wyandottes delivered from that hatchery the same day the lavender orpingtons arrived. Maybe someone made a mixup.
