I have a co-worker who also is a chicken addict and hatches her own babies. She told me that in her experience her eggs don't hatch if the temperature is up to 99.5, so she hatches hers at 95 degrees and they all hatch and hatch 2 days early. Is her thermometer broken or is 95 a better temperature?
I have been hatching at 99.5 with about a 90% hatch rate. Any thouhts on it being better or worse at 95? Why would they be hatching 2 days early?

I would bet money that her thermometer is off. At 95 degrees, if they hatched at all, they'd be pretty late, not 2 days early, IMO. I'd never quibble with a 90% hatch rate! Don't you change a thing!
