Anyone got any magic Guinea hatching tips?

My hens are much better at hatching than I am. But, as you've noticed, nesting is risky business. This year I put my hens on restrictions when the season kicked in - no going outside until the egg is layed, and not for very long. My 1st timer took to it right away and found herself a corner. My older hen,who hatched hers in the flowerbed the year before, was rebellious and refused to nest, plopping eggs whereever - and I still ended up losing her. So now I have no older hens to rebel, and will use the same method next year. Not sure that wld be favorable to you if you have a large amt of property that you want them to roam, bc a benefit for me is that I can boot the males out during the day to get the critters, but they won't roam very far from the hens.
