Auto re-size for avatar pics

How hard would it be to add that? I think ezbyc did/does that.
There are so many wonderful avatar pics that you just can't appreciate at 100x100 --- and some you just plain can't tell what it's suposed to be.
If they are auto-resized, you can (I think) still right-click them and see the full size image.
Pain or possible?
