Blue/ Lavender Genetics

So I have blue EE chickens ( these are not blue black splash and don’t have the chance for it), I wanted to get a lavender EE Roo to breed over them and was wondering what would get produced in this type of pairing? I like these blue EE chickens as well as the Lavender ones and was hoping these could be a good matchup and could produce nice chicks.

If they are blue, how can they not be BBS? They are either BBS blue or not blue. Do you have a picture?

Lavender with anything but lavender usually makes black

Yes I do. They are multi generational blue EEs it is a hatchery speciality that I got.

They will still follow BBS. There is no way to have blues without BBS genetics. When bred to a Lavender EE, half the chicks will be blue and half the chicks will be black. If you breed the offspring together or back to the father, you will get some lavenders.

It's a black genetics thing, not blue

You can make a hatch 100% blue by breeding a black to splash, but all blues from that breeding will follow BBS rules with their own offspring

Nope.. Lavender is a separate gene from blue. I agree ALL blue chickens are BBS.

Get Blue Ameraucana OR Lavender Ameraucana.. and forget that whole EE thing!
