Breeding Help!!!! How to breed out a defect in your lines.

Hey y’all! So hopefully I can make my question clear. If you are familiar with the Polish showing realm you would know that you don’t want white tips on their wings. If a bird I have has white tips on their wings (which a few do) how would I go about breeding that out? i want the white tips out because they shouldn’t have those. Thanks for the help!

In this case, it’s not too difficult. Simply breed from the birds without white tips. White crests are caused by a form of mottling, so it’s a quantitative trait. It can be a struggle to breed both the white crest and the solid black feathers, but it can be done.
