Buff Orp Rooster x with Rhode Island white

Hi,
Another genetics question. Would crossing a Buff Orpington rooster with a Rhode Island white hen create sex link chicks? The RI white carries the silver gene, and the Buff the wheaton gene correct?
Also, if you could recommend a good place to start reading up on chicken genetics that would be appreciated.
I’m just fumbling right now.

It might not. Buff chicks are hard to tell apart from silverxgold chicks.
Yes, buff is wheaten based but there are a lot more genes involved too. The gene that involves sexlinkage is the gold gene.
