Amprolium (CORID) is approved for use in laying hens by the FDA, which means there is no egg withdrawal period when using it. Eggs laid by hens may be eaten during and after treatment with amprolium.

What is the general opinion? I don't always trust the FDA.

I understand your concern. If you follow the correct dosing then the levels in the eggs should be below what's considered safe and by 10 days there should be no trace. It's generally accepted as safe to eat eggs with no withdrawal and many people do with no ill effects.
The active ingredient of Corid is Amprolium, a chemical compound that mimics vitamin B1 (thiamin) and prevents the parasite from synthesizing carbohydrates, so it can’t replicate and dies. Since Amprolium is so similar to vitamin B1, it inhibits the active transport of real thiamin into the cells.
