Ceder tree in the run

I am working on my coop and run and was looking for thing for them to climb on. I know ceder shavings are bad but what about an old, seasoned (dead) ceder tree? They are straight and have limbs that stick out pretty straight and level. I was thinking I could mount it on a stand and they could jump from limb to limb, sit on them, etc. . .
Any thoughts on this?

I think it's a great idea. I wouldn't worry about dead cedar branches outside. I think it's when a small coop is filled with aromatic shavings that it could be an issue. And btw, I have used cedar shavings mixed in with shavings from other trees we've processed, this is in our large coop, with no issue.
