Hi!

1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.) Easter Egger? hen, about two, seems the same as the others she came with. Most of them look like they may be overweight.
2) What is the behavior, exactly. This chicken has been wiggling her neck and head like she is trying to swallow. Her crop seems very full, and she may have some heat stress.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? She's been slower than the others she came with (all the same breed and age) since she arrived a week ago.
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? I've seen the neck wiggle with other hens before, but never this severe.
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. No.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. Maybe the heat stress, accompanied by a new setting and working out pecking order?
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. She has been eating; her crop is very full.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. Small but normal.
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? Olive oil in case she's got impacted crop, massage of her crop. She's in the bathroom inside to cool her down.
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? Treat her myself.
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help. Don't have a picture.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use. Coop with pine shavings and pellet bedding, big run with dirt and trees.

Can you take a video of her?

Is she, and the others she came with, your only chickens or do you have others?
