They are production reds, or possibly hatchery-quality Rhode Island Reds.

oh nice eye! They were surplus roos used for warmth from Ideal Hatchery. I have them listed for free on craigslst but no one wants them. lol

I have RIR roos from IDEAL too. 4 of them. They are 6 weeks old now.

yes I'd rather buy an extra 10 of the birds I ordered to fill up the box rather than deal with those. But a gal took them off my hands when she bought a pullet. 5 less mouths to feed, 5 new born yesterday. lol love this hobby!
