Would you give your month old chicks sweet corn off the cob?

.......and no food other than chick feed unless they have access to chick grit.

we were leaving a row or so of corn on the cob and putting it in the brooder with the chicks at just a couple days old. Funny to watch them drag it around trying to get the corn out of the cob, but they'd manage! For the record, I do start off with grit available for them
