This is my first time hatching eggs, I have 11 eggs under my buff orp who is in a large dog kennal and I have some questions.

Is there anything I need to do between now and hatch day?

on day 21 should I remove momma from the eggs for them to hatch?

if not (which is what I'm thinking) is there anyway I can watch?

what is the last day that is safe to candle?

If there is anything else I should know please let me know.

I am soo excited!!

Leave momma to do her thing. unfortunately with a broody, you will not be able to watch, she will keep them completey covered, you wont see them till they are all cute and fluffy!

Hi,
Congratulations!! What day are the eggs on now?

Just make sure the hen has access to food and water.
I wouldn't try candling after Day 17 (or 18 at the latest).

Mama Hen will bring out the chicks after they are dry and are steady on their feet (what I've noticed here is the chicks decide when it's time and Mama will sit tight til the chicks start 'peeppeeppeeping --- we're hungry!').

Have starter and and water (something they can't fall in and drown) available and Mama will show them how it's done.

'Course, that's all 'best case scenerio'. Some hens are better Moms than others.

Good luck,
Lisa
