The sun is shinning - woke to -28, but warming to -17 by 10:00. Mine made it through the night, bright eyed and curious looking, ready for some breakfast and active. All good signs of healthy chickens. I opened the pop up door but left food and water inside the coop. I generally feed in the run, but it is too cold for that.
I did not check for eggs. I really wish I could have a light in my coop, as it is dark in there. But they have the choice to go outside, and I think they probably will for a while.
The wind is rising, as I came back to the house, Christmas they are expecting 40 degrees - it will be close to a 70 degree change.
