Do you keep food available inside your hen house?

I have always kept feed and water in the coop 24/7.
Works for me.

Sometimes mice in the shed, but the coop itself is 6 sides of 1/2" HC.

I chose not to put food and water in their coop. I have an auto door that rises and sets with the sun. I do keep it in their attached, predator proof run, though.

I keep food and water available 24/7. I am pretty good about opening up the door in the morning but it's often not right at sunrise so I want them to be able to eat and drink without waiting on me. And I work the graveyard shift and sometimes a curious bird will come out of the coop to see what i'm doing and will get a drink or a midnight snack. I feed the local stray cats and they are excellent hunters so mice aren't an issue
