I have 3 silver grey Dorking pullets. But no rooster. I have a brown leghorn rooster which I want to breed with them. I just have the following questions.

How would the offspring look like?
Would any chicks have 5 toes?
Otherwise how long or how many generations would it take to breed back to the original silver grey Dorking?

I didn't buy these pullets from a hatchery. I bought them from a private breeder.

Here is a few pictures:

Thanks in advance.

When outcross and after that you breed son, grandson and after that great grand son back to the original hens, 4 -5 generations is enough to bring back the breed type. Breeding with brown Leghorn will bring the issue with the yellow legs (skin). It can stay hidden for generations and will take lots of test hatching work to get rid from it. Will be much easy if you start with white skinned breed of rooster.

Thanks for feedback. Will take a lot of work and time. Obviously he must be a cross bred Brown Leghorn too since he has the same or similar leg colour my dorkings have.
