Earwigs from oil traps

I have traps for earwigs using vegetable oil and sometimes soy sauce. Can I drain the oil and give the dead bugs to the chickens?

You can offer it to them. Chickens eat earwigs, and a little bit of non-rancid vegetable oil is fine as long as this is a small fraction of their diet.

Are you trapping earwigs inside your house? Have you had your home inspected for termites?

Rinse them off and then it should be fine

I’m trapping them in the garden. They are eating my beans and squash! I get quite a few in the traps. I’ll try rinsing them and see if the chickens like them. Thank you for the advice.

Of course, they should like them mine will eat anything I throw on the run floor......except lettuce.....they wouldn't eat lettuce
