French Blk Copper Maran Not Laying

We have a French blk copper maran who is now just 11 mos old. I’m just concerned about her starting her egg laying and when it could be. Hubby says to be patient but I’m curious about what others may think.
Any helpful info would be appreciated.

It's the time of year still. Hens take a break in the winter due to shorter days. Some will still lay but only about half as many, which is what my silkies are doing.

Once the days start getting longer again, she'll start laying. That should be in the next few weeks actually. She may start off slow at first but soon will be laying as she should.

Make sure she's got some calcium/oyster shell on the side as once she starts laying she'll need it.
