Gender?

I was pretty sure both were hens but then the spurs through me off. I know some hens can get them but this is a very young hen still so I find it odd. Just wanting confirmation as I'm sure these are the same breed and hens.

I think,
Number 1 is a cockerel
Number 2 is a pullet.
I've heard of lots of people that have hens with spurs!

Both females.

Spurs aren't gender specific. Both pullets/hens, Cockerels/roosters can have spurs.
 
Thanks. I knew they can but it threw me off as she's still young and they are both the same age. If I remember correctly they are both Welsummers but I think from different breeders.
Their coloration is also female specific. Salmon Breasted/Ground Color are females.

This is what a male welsummer looks like with their coloration. Males are Black Breasted.
