Goose attacked by dog

Yep, it's my opinion that using antibiotics once or twice over the life-time of an animal is probably a million times better than what occurs in the large-scale animal raising industry. Although in the course of my research I found that all duck and goose raising is supposed to be antibiotic free in the US.

What I really wanted was to just orally administer doses of antibiotic, but I had no way of knowing how to dilute the product that I got. Apparently there is an assumption that it will be used to medicate an entire flock all at once.

You are exactly right. All the soluable products are intended for dosing hundreds of birds simultaneously. There is absolutely nothing wrong with injectibles... it's just that most people don't have experience giving shots so they shy away from it. It really is simple, though.

Most antibiotics are intramuscular or subcutaneous (some are either/or as well). Interveinous ones are pretty rare and usually only for cows or horses.
