If you could grow one crop to supplement your bought chicken feed what would it be? I am growing some sunflowers, but I am thinking about adding another supplemental crop. Corn maybe.

I believe this is a mistake of focus. One crop will result in a diet imbalancing surplus during a single part of the year, and a shortage the rest. I'd instead look to a combination of crops to spread out the productive season and provide greater variety. Recommend looking into companion planting or the three sisters method.

Cucumbers or squash would make good companions. Sunflower grow very quickly, and can significantly reduce yields from other plants by outcompeting early.
