Help my chicks umbilical cord is still attached to the egg

Hi I need help my chicks umbilical cord is still attached to the egg. Should I cut it or how should I remove it or should I just leave it? it's still attached to a big piece of shell and his having trouble walking.I don't know what to do?

Don't try and pull or cut it off. This can can cause the chick to bleed or pull the intestines out. I'd keep the chick separated from any other chicks until the umbilical cord has fallen off.
