Have you heard of copper sulfate water treatment to prevent algae? It's safe to drink when following mixing directions. Won't prevent mosquitoes, tho.

I have not! I'll def look that up for sure bc im constantly fighting algae .. ty!

You'll be fine, as will the cat. Mix the permethrin per manufacturer directions. Not to some other websites specifications. I mix mine and spray it on my clothes daily as I work outside and the ticks are brutal. My neighbor sprays his yard every couple weeks. His 16 yr old cat hasn't had any issues.
