HELP!!! Our chicks got attacked last night by a Raccoon!! Help!!!!!!

Yep, when you're raising any kind of livestock there will always be difficult decisions to be made. It's all up to us to educate ourselves & do the best that we can for our animals.

Oh the poor little things. When you say all their toes gone does that mean to the point they can't walk? There really is nothing you can do to fix that I'm afraid.

I know you said you can't put them down. I couldn't either, but I would take them to a vet and let him if they will never have any quality of life.

Our little silkie lost her "big" toe as a chick from others pecking it I think and it took antibiotics to kill the infection that made it swell up. The one that lost its back toes may be save able if it can still stand but I would get some antibiotics into it. There will need to be adjustments too as it probably won't be able to perch now. If its not going to be able to walk though sadly you really don't have any options for it either :-(

They can walk and a couple of their toes have healed completely up
