How Many Chickens Can my Coop & Run Hold?

So my brother works at a farm sometimes and the lady that owns the farm was getting rid of this chicken coop. Since we recently got chickens, about 3 weeks ago, we thought why not take it because:
1- we’ll eventually need one
2- it only needs minor fixing
3- it was FREE!
We have 5 chickens, possibly 3-4 since we suspect at least one or two are roosters and we can’t own roosters within our city.
Any ideas on how many, if any, chickens this coop could keep? If we can’t keep them in here, we’ll buy a new one. We just figured that if this is an okay size for about 3-4 chickens, it wouldn’t make sense to buy a new, expensive one.
Possibly we could just attach an add-on to this coop?
Please comment your opinion on the limit of chickens for this coop, I think it’s probably too small for 4, but what do I know..

Looks big enough for a bantam but a very cramped way to live. Depending on your location and you should add that to your profile you normally need 4 square feet per chicken in the coop and 10 square feet per chicken in the run but that depends on your location.

It would make a good place for a sick or injured bird to have some quiet time.

My daughter keeps 3 chickens in a coop that size. They are standard size hens, 3 yrs. old now, and have done fine. But she had to make a bigger run. Looks like it needs a bottom in the nest boxes, and maybe a little roost in the main part, going from one side to the other.

1 if you don’t plan on making a bigger run.

I have one about that size and had 7 in it. But I also had a 20x40 run for them. They just used the coop to roost at night. The ground in the coop will be mud and poo in about 5 days. For a backyard where that is your only option 1, maybe 3 at most but you’ll be doing a lot of cleaning. If you can make it so they just roost in there at night you and the chickens will be a lot happier.
