I got my first egg! She laid while I was down there!!

We put ceramic eggs out last night. I went to the coop about 11. No eggs, but while I was down there my barred rock and white leghorn went into the boxes. When they came out the barred rock left an egg!!! They are 21 weeks. We have 8 egg layers 19-21 weeks, different breeds.
Is it unusual for them to lay while you are there?
Also, it's tiny but it has a nice hard shell. Will Her eggs get bigger?

Is it unusual for them to lay while you are there? This is not unusual with tame hens that feel secure around their owner.
Also, it's tiny but it has a nice hard shell. Will Her eggs get bigger? Yes. As the hen lays the eggs will increase in size-usually.
