I did last year (summer) ewesheep, but gave them the usual 30 day quarantine. i bought 3 cochin hens from a breeder to bring new blood into the cochin flock. i also bought a couple of araucanas and cochin kriels (but these were chicks)

I will bring your problem to the attention of our Avian veterinarian at work, though that won't be until tomorrow.
She may be able to shed a bit of insight to the problem, though I know she will say that without actually
examining the bird and running some tests are you going to get a definitive answer.

I'm in agreement that the fastest way to get an answer to your problem is to get a bird(s) to your university
for testing.
