Indiana Hoosier Chickenstock

We are interested in raising chickens.
We saw the article in TSC Spring magazine.
We are interested in going to the Indiana Hoosier Chickenstock festival
in May, in Marion Indiana. Can someone tell me what date it is, and
directions? Is there anything else I need to know about attending
the festival? All help will be appreciated.

That article was a lot of fun! Sadly, we won't have Chickenstock in Marion this year- we are looking for possibilities.

The date for Indiana Chickenstock has been announced! It is May 26- Saturday- in Alexandria, Indiana.

Ok, I have....probably a stupid question here...what exactly is Chicken Stock?? What do you do?? What do you take? Is it for banty people only? Im lost on this one. Is it like a flea market for chickens? Crafts? Fair? Wow...sounds like I might want to go...Just not sure what it is! LOL What does one take to one of these?

Well, its basically a party for us crazy chicken/turkey/duck/anything poultry people that like to get together. It's not restricted to anything.
(except no alcohol, drugs, bad language, etc.)

We have lots of food, a raffle, a gift exchange, lots of bird swapping & selling. FUN in general. We will be posting more details here, or go to the other BYC and look for Chickenstock.
