I have 5 chicks that are 9 weeks old and 6 more that are 5 weeks old. I have moved my brooder into the coop and cut large holes and covered with hardware cloth so they can see but not touch. I’m wondering how long I should keep the littles in this brooder in the coop before I try to let them all live completely together. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

After a week see don’t touch:
Open the openings in a way the chicks can get in the brooder, but the adults can’t.
And make more hiding /escape places with cardboard boxes (no rain) with similar openings or with hwc.

Always provide plenty of chick feed and water in many spots.

You can find a very good article about integrating in the learning center.

PS There is another one I was referring too, but these 2 can be helpful too : https://www.backyardchickens.com/se...nclude_reviews]=1&c[title_only]=1&o=relevance
