At what age can you introduce new chicks to the existing flock? Is it ok when they are fully feathered? Or do they need to be more equal in size?
I'm not really sure how old they are. The farm store said 2 weeks when I bought them but I think they were older than that.

I'm curious to know as well. I have 7 week old chicks, and three week old (tomorrow) chicks that I want to introduce. My 7 week old's just seem huge and tower over my small 3 week olds.

I would like to hear answers on this too.
Thanks

I would introduce them when they're almost the same size and I would add them at night when everyone is asleep.

I'd like to know more about this too! I have 4 - (5 week old) chicks and would like to add them in the run with 3 other hens. The problem is....they all nest at night ~ NO ONE Roosts

so I'm not sure I have enough room for them all to be in one place at night. But they do free range together occasionally.

you gotta think about how chickens establish a pecking order it can be rough so i would wait to they're the same size in fact I do

I normally introduce young birds when they are of the same general size and then i will usually put them with the quieter group first and add new ones one at a time
