I don't treat or pretreat unless I have something to treat for. I've never had mites, lice, or worms in the chickens. If I did, I would treat them. If I had a history I'd consider pretreating, depending on what that history was. There is hardly ever one right answer for all of us, we are all unique. I like to keep things simple, work as little as I have to, and base my decisions on what I see.
