Just sharing my easy to assemble, inexpensive, and easy to maintain brooder for 6 chicks. $10 Menard's kiddie child's plastic pool, any large free cardboard box (mine was from a dishwasher), $9 chicken wire/mesh/netting, $5 of duct tape, a few metal eyes/hooks I had around to lose the front for easy access, free backyard brick for the water/feed jars to sit on. Put a few foam tiles I had around under for extra warmth. Had a spare 60 watt lamp, bought a $6 reptile 60 watt bulb that keeps one area at 80 degrees. Mini shelters from shoeboxes free, water/food jars were $5 each. Camera to keep on eye on them up top. About $40 or so and once wiped down and cleaned should be able to get more use of it.

As with all of the other ideas out there, maybe can help someone else in the future.

No problem, I seen so many and modified some ideas into this contraption. They are in my living room so wanted something easier, that can't kick much pine shavings up, inexpensive, and easy to clean. Made a mini perch from scrap and just need to buy a mirror from the dollar store to keep them extra entertained. :D
