Lavender Australorp Genetics??

To get 100% lav offspring, both parents must be lavender. If only 1 parent is lavender, you will get either all black or 50% lav, depending on whether the black parent carries the lav gene. Lavender is a simple recessive trait, if that helps.

The "other blue", popular with Blue Andulusians and now most other breeds as well, is partially dominant, which makes it impossible to get a true breeding line where all individuals are blue, but also prevents any "hidden genes" where a bird carries blue but doesn't show it, which can happen easily with Lavender.

Thank you so much!:)
So for blue, if you breed blue x blue you don't get 100% blue?

Correct. Blue X Blue will give 50% blue, 25% splash and 25% black. Of course to get correct percentages, you need to breed large numbers, The reality is that those numbers are the probability of each outcome, not the actual percentage. If you hatch 4 birds, the likelihood is that the percentages will not hold up, but if you hatch 100, they probably will.

No, all Black bird mated to an all blue bird will yield 50% black and 50% blue all blue bird mated to an all blue bire bird will yield 25% splash / 25% black and 50%% blue
